If you have a problem with your fins coming loose this is the way to go. This converter stalls at 2200 to 2500 RPM and gives a faster launch than a stock converter. Also comes in 1700 and 2000 stall speeds. Rated up to 350 horse power. Furnace brazing laminates the complete turbine shell. Mega Raptor 4L60E Quadrolock Quadruple Disc Torque Converter

#MR-3L. 4 Carbon Fiber Clutch Disc!  Here it is, the new Mega Raptor Quadrolock that has set the industry on its ear. This full billet torque converter has no expense spared. It all starts on the pump side. We have Furnace brazed the fins of this converter to keep fluid from cross leaking into neighboring fin channels. The Furnace brazing also increases the overall rigidity of the fins. We also go so far as TIG welding each individual Turbine fin on both sides. This alone contributes to over 1 hour of welding but offers unmatched fin rigidity. Having the pump side so incredibly rigid allows for no possibility of fins laying over or potential flexing during high torque situations. This ensures we lose absolutely no fluid velocity. The key to a torque converter not feeling muddy is to keep lots of velocity hitting the turbine side, we have provided a sturdy platform for that to occur. This torque converter can be used with the stock L67 flywheel without the need to drill new torque converter bolt holes in the flywheel. Bolt the smaller 245MM torque converter to the existing flywheel without any changes. Stall speeds of 2200 to 4000 RPM can be ordered. The larger converter bolt circle is built right on the smaller converter. This is done with an adapter ring built onto the torque converter. Up until 3-18-2005 new converter bolt holes had to be drilled in the flywheel that was built for the 258MM converter.

#7-TR. 4T65E, 245 MM performance torque converter. It'll have a stall speed of 500 RPM or better over stock (you choose) and a carbon fiber clutch. The stock size torque converter is 258 MM on the 4T65E-HD transmission. A smaller lighter torque converter with a higher stall speed means more power to the wheels and faster times. All 200-4R transmissions have a 27 input shaft spline count. 1982, 1983 and some 1984 700R4 transmissions have a 27 spline count. Late 1984 and newer 700R4 / 4L60 and 4L60E transmissions have a 30 spline count. We must have the input shaft spline count when ordering a converter for a 200-4R, 700R4, 4L60 or 4L60E transmission. These converters will only fit motors with full size bell housings. We also need to know if you have a LS1 type motor and bell housing bolt pattern.

Stall speeds aren't an exact science. All stall speeds are an estimate. Your converter could stall differently depending on your motor. Stall speeds can't be checked at a stop unless your brakes have enough holding power to hold the rear tires from turning. On full size torque converters stall speed listings are based on motors having 230 foot pounds of torque at 2500 RPM. More torque at 2500 RPM will give a higher stall speed, less torque at 2500 RPM will give a lower stall speed than rated.

Guidelines:
1. Converter stall speeds above 2800 RPM aren't recommended for street use.
Excessive RPM for take-off can cause over-heating to occur in normal driving conditions. External transmission coolers are highly recommended with over a 2000 RPM stall speed or towing. This is in addition to the cooler in your radiator. 2. For acceptable performance, axle ratios should be 3:42 to 1 or greater. Ratios in the high "2's" and low "3's" do not perform as desired with converters with stall speeds above 2000 RPM. 3. Stall speeds of 3000 RPM or greater aren't recommended for use with engines with an "advertised" cam duration of less than 292. 4. Vehicles equipped with transmission brakes, nitrous, turbo-chargers, or blowers require a torque converter equipped with special features.

Stall speed is measured at wide open throttle. Anything less than WOT will have a lower stall speed. Our 700R4 torque converters lock-up in overdrive automatically. For street use in a 2WD (under 450 horse power) you would need somewhere between 1800 to 2300 stall depending on what feel you like. A 4WD for street use usually uses 1600 to 2000 RPM. Higher stalls than these are usually used on higher horse power motors and for drag racing. The ratings you see on torque converters are for small block motors. The same converter behind a big block will stall as much as 700 RPM higher. A 2800 or higher stall speed on the street would have a jack rabbit take off at full throttle, but have a mushy feeling at less than full throttle. The higher the stall speed the softer the shift feel.

We offer a new line of 722.6 high performance torque converters to help with acceleration and common failures for your late model dodge transmission.

To the left you will notice the factory converter comes equipped with only 2 clutches and 3 steels, We change the current clutch count of 2 to 3 high energy frictions with special heat treated steel that offers a higher friction coefficient. We also use special heat treated steels to reduce deflection and coning of the clutches with high apply rates. These 2 modifications increase clutch apply surface area by 50% giving you a better engagement feel, while also reduce slip and parasitic loss.

To the right we have the factory stator on the left and our custom billet stator on the right. At first glance it is obvious that the factory stator has larger opening windows that allow you to see right through it. This decreases the torque multiplication effect of the converter. The factory stator also is made from cast material that can deflect under high load and sometimes break. Our custom Billet Stator shown on the right allows us to raise the stall speed at wide-open-throttle 500-700 rpm's without losing any part throttle driving efficiency. You will also notice how we have designed the fins on the stator with a tighter gate, therefore you cannot see through the windows. This again is increasing the torque multiplication effect helping you get your vehicle off the line. Also this stator has 13 custom designed proprietary modifications to it.

This is a quick picture of our tig welding modification we perform after setting the pitch of the fins on the pump side of the converter. This process also ensures that under heavy load with accelerated fluid velocity the fins do not deflect or bend in any way. While this process takes extra time in the build process we do it anyway, every little fine is welded ensuring no future failures on these converters. How many other converter builders are willing to do this, much less put the picture right here!

This is a picture of our turbine side of the converter. We have these manufactured new with our custom fin pitches. These come already furnace brazed from our builders, with many different pitches to choose from it allows us to make a converter for any of your needs.

The lock-up clutch is not a salvaged OE clutch, it is a new and unique design. The lock-up clutch damper can be tuned to work with engines ranging from stock up to 1,250 ft-lb of torque. 

What makes this particular converter so unique is the fact we have incorporated a new state of the damper assembly that now allows you enjoy the benefits of a triple disc converter without the transmission tuning parameters being altered. It is common within the Cummins community to need an aftermarket programmer installed and modified torque converter release times when switching to a triple disk billet in conjunction with the 68RFE. The converter can at times cause the vehicle demonstrate a slight shudder upon deceleration if not released. This is specifically caused by the removal of the factory Damper assembly. Another unique characteristic of this new converter is the dampener can be tuned by the removal or addition of internal dampener springs, giving us the opportunity to custom build the characteristics of this new billet torque converter to match your vehicles particular needs. This converter also carries 3 torque converter lock-up disc internally to spread the load. We also have a CNC'D billet apply piston allowing absolutely no deflection when applied. When this new converter is combined with our billet stators you now have unmatched efficiency with mountains of torque at your disposal. Cost $1425.00
